About Us

The Functional Skills Group specializes in creating individualized systems to improve daily functioning through behavior modification and acquiring necessary life skills. To endure success, family participation is essential and required. It is vital that the education provided through therapy is reinforced by the client's support system daily. We believe that by investing effort in therapy holistically, it will allow for our client to progress and achieve goals through generalization for a better quality of life.

'If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn."

    - O. Ivar Lovaas

    Testimonials

"My entire family would like to thank FSG for guiding our daughter through her developmental difficulties. We can truly say that her behavior has improved significantly and we are blessed to be able to eat dinner as a family. Initially we doubted the process, but with faith and time we are thankful to be proved wrong."

    -Emily

"I am so VERY thankful and appreciative of services that the Functional Skills Group has provided. I was at a total loss of where and how to get help for my son and didn’t know what to do. If not for their assistance, I would have been TOTALLY in the dark. Just the peace of mind knowing that they are a phone call away to provide contact info or just a listening ear gives me joy."

    -Satisfied Parent

"Since Brandon started therapy, he has made tremendous progress. When he started therapy, he had no language skills. After a year, his language was about six months behind his typical peers. At just over four years old, he is now completely verbal with language skills equal to typical children his age. His other developmental tasks have made similar progress. I am certain he wouldn't have made this level of progress if he had not received early and intensive therapy."
